Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Community Charge Nurse to work within District Nursing Team 9 Prestwick/Troon/Dundonald, covering Troon/Dundonald. You will be responsible for the management of the caseload in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader, including the supervision and redeployment of staff.
Hours
36 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role. Car driver is essential.
What You Will Do
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Knowledge, Training and/or Experience Required
A professional qualification of RGN and educated to degree level is essential. You should have a District Nurse post‑graduate or equivalent SPQ qualification or be willing to undertake relevant post‑graduate district nursing education. The post holder will be expected to work a rostered shift pattern weekdays with a weekend working commitment.

To work in the United Kingdom, you must demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. If you do not already have the right to work in the UK, the post may be eligible for sponsorship, subject to salary thresholds and other criteria.
