Synechron is looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will play a crucial role in defining and executing comprehensive test plans for a global energy firm. Working across various testing domains, including manual, automated, performance, regression, and end-to-end testing the role is varied, fast paced and challenging.
Role:
* Create test plans, including, as necessary – manual testing, automated testing, performance testing, regression testing, etc.
* Formulate and document test cases based on test plans
* Execute test cases
* If necessary, code/configure automated tests and execute them
* Work with developers and product managers to review identified defects, provide clarifications, discuss possible solutions, etc.
Experience:
* Over 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with both manual and automated testing
* Experience with creation test plans and creation and execution of test cases: Functional, End-to-End, Cross-browser, Regression, Performance
* Experience in Automated Software Testing using tools such as Rest Assured and Selenium
* Experience in testing microservices and APIs
* Experience in using Soap UI and Postman for testing Web Services
* Experience interacting with business analysts, product managers, and business owners for reviewing and validating test plans, test cases, and test results
* Experience with source version control tools such as Git
* Experience working in agile software development process models
This is a long term programme of work - Hybrid with occasional travel to Sheffield - Rate £450pd Inside IR35
