Join Our Mission: SEN / SEND Tutors Needed in Dorset!

We’re excited to announce multiple openings for passionate tutors to support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND) in Dorset!

At Targeted Provision, we believe in transforming the educational landscape for children facing challenges such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD). Your Role as a SEN / SEND Tutor:

* Provide engaging tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with a range of educational needs.
* Support students referred by local authorities and schools, helping them navigate their educational and social-emotional journeys.
* Utilize flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approaches to tutoring and mentoring.


Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver tailored sessions that meet the unique needs of each student.
* Create engaging and holistic learning experiences that foster educational and social-emotional growth.
* Document progress through lesson reports and provide constructive feedback.


What We’re Looking For:

* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS).
* A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
* Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this).
* Two professional references.
* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments.

Note: It’s essential that you promote the health, safety, and well-being of children and adhere to safeguarding policies at all times.


Employment Details:

* This position is offered as a Worker role, providing short-term engagements as needed.
* You will work under a contract for service and be paid via PAYE.
* No guaranteed work hours or expense coverage.
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us.
* This is not a self-employed tutoring position.

Additionally, experience in therapeutic and learning support roles such as:

* Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
* Educational Therapist
* Speech and Language Therapist
* Educational Psychologist
* Inclusion Coordinator
