Job Summary and Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a Community Programme Co-ordinator to develop and deliver programmes that support individuals, families and the wider community in Ashton in Makerfield. You’ll be working alongside the Church leader and volunteers, you’ll help shape activities that reflect the values of The Salvation Army and respond to local needs with care and integrity. In this role, you’ll help coordinate Children’s and family activities, support multi-generational programmes, assist with planning community and church-based events, and be a visible, trusted presence in the local area. You’ll play a key part in helping people feel included, supported and valued. Successful candidate will have: An understanding and be sympathetic towards Christian values and the mission of The Salvation Army Experience of working with children, young people and families or community groups Ability to help plan and deliver engaging programmes and activities Ability to communicate well, builds trust and works positively with volunteers and partners Good organisational skills and be flexible and comfortable working some evenings and weekends Knowledge and Understanding of safeguarding and the importance of safe, inclusive practice If you are ready to contribute to a church-based community setting that seeks to serve others and makes a positive difference locally, we would love to hear from you.
