Alexander Steele are delighted to bring this exclusive mandate to the market, our client who are a globally recognised food brand have a requirement for a Supplier Assurance Manager. This is a 6 month contract due to some internal restructuring. The salary budgeted for this role is up to £75k
The Role:
This is a hybrid, the expectation is 1 day a week in Head Office which is based in Buckinghamshire, 2-3 days visiting with UK based suppliers and 1-2 days working from home. You will be in charge of your day/week planning the only stipulation the client have asked is that you must attend a monthly team meeting at head office. Other than this you will be responsible for your schedule ensuring that the required work is completed. You will Lead and drive the quality agenda across the supply base and product portfolio, ensuring consistent standards and continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relating to Food Safety and Sustainability, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers. Act as the custodian of brand integrity, safeguarding customer expectations and ensuring products consistently meet agreed quality, safety, and ethical standard
What Experience we would like you to have:
* Food Science Degree, Microbiology Degree or equivalent experience demonstrating strong knowledge and experience of food science and regulatory understanding.
* Consultative approach to auditing and ability to work with suppliers to achieve required standards
* Technical Management experience in a technical role in Retail/Foodservice or Manufacturing
* High level of technical aptitude
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex issues in a simple manner to ensure clearly communication channels whilst working with cross functional teams.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders at all levels
* Proficient with web-based specification and supplier management database systems
* UK driving licence, flexible and willingness to travel for the role
