We are recruiting a People Advisor to support our Hotel and Restaurant management teams across 600 sites in the UK. You will work closely with regional People Partners to provide generalist advice to Line Managers on all people processes, through coaching and upskilling.
You’ll collaborate with our wider People team at our Dunstable support centre, including departments like Reward, L&D, Resourcing, Internal Communications, Insight, and Central Operations, to deliver a proactive, commercial service that supports our people strategy and guest experience.
Why you’ll love it here:
* Bonus: Annual Whitbread performance incentive worth up to 10% of base salary.

* Additional benefits: Up to 10% matched pension, 25 days holiday, and a Company Share Save Scheme.
What you’ll do:
* Act as a business partner to our Hotel and Restaurant Management teams, providing generalist People advice and support on HR systems, processes, induction, and development.
* Support the People Partners with cyclical HR activities such as yearly reviews, pay reviews, talent reviews, calibration, and employee engagement surveys, working with relevant centres of excellence.
* Serve as a liaison between operational teams and HR specialists, including Employee Relations, Occupational Health, and Recruitment.
* Support ER cases alongside the Employee Relations team, including case management, while coaching Line Managers in performance and capability conversations.
* Take ownership of updating the People Plan and coordinating agendas and minutes for key meetings, such as divisional meetings, PP meetings, and calls.
What we need:
* Ideally, you have a generalist people background, experienced in working within a large, multi-site operational business (hospitality, retail, leisure, tourism), with close collaboration with frontline teams.
* A basic understanding of ER policies and UK employment law is desirable; studying for or interested in CIPD qualification is a plus.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence multiple internal stakeholders.
* Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing your workload while responding to changing priorities.
* Self-motivated, keen to make a difference, with the confidence to challenge and make objective recommendations.
