Main duties of the job
Job Description
1.Tosee patients in accordance with the normal pattern of working at the GlebeSurgery, which operates a list based system, and to undertake home visits andtelephone consultations, as well as an equitable share of duty doctor days and alsoto provide an equitable share of extended access appointments when required.
2.Torecord consultations and patient contacts in a timely and accurate manner onthe practice computer system.
3.Toregularly monitor results received electronically and act upon them asappropriate.
4.Toread incoming mail relating to patients and act upon this in appropriate andtimely manner.
5.Toinitiate referral letters in a timely and appropriate manner.
6.Todeal with patient notes, messages and administrative matters as required.
7.Toundertake reports, Cremation forms and other administrative duties, asrequired.
8.Toprocess prescriptions daily, as required.
9.Toliaise with members of the Practice team to ensure patient care andsatisfactory administration of the Practice.
10.Toliaise with the Practice Manager in relation to ongoing administrative matters,holidays, absences and other matters related to the smooth running andorganisation of the Practice.

13.Ifappropriate, to undertake specific tasks and/or clinics by arrangement (minor surgery, cryo-surgery, IUCD and implant insertion or removal, joint and hormonal injections).
14.Toundertake any reasonable task as necessary to the efficiency of running thePractice.

Essential
1. Essential Qualifications
2. Already qualified as a General Practitioner
3. Registered GP with the GMC.
4. Must possess the right to work in the UK and be on the NHS Performers List.
5. Knowledge and Skills
6. Ability to provide quality care.
7. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
