Role overview
As a Professional Services Engineer, you will take ownership of technical project delivery from initial scoping through to implementation and handover. You will work on a variety of projects, including Azure migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, Modern Workplace solutions and security improvements. The role is customer‑facing, requiring you to understand business requirements, design appropriate solutions and deliver them to a high standard. You will also act as a technical escalation point, contribute to documentation and best practices, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
About you
* We are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in MSP or consultancy environments, and hands‑on expertise across Microsoft technologies, including Azure (THIS IS ESSENTIAL), Microsoft 365, Intune and identity/security solutions.
* You should be confident in delivering projects end‑to‑end, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. A proactive, organised approach and strong sense of ownership are essential.
* Experience with cloud migrations, modern workplace deployments and networking fundamentals is important.
* A full UK driving licence is required due to occasional travel to customer sites.
Salary & benefits
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (DOE)
Location: Derby (Hybrid – 3–4 days in the office, with customer site travel)
