Working Hours: Mon - Thurs 07:00-16.15, Friday 07:00-15.00 (42.5 hrs).

About The Role:
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Stores Controller on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract to join our Mechanical & Electrical/Fire & Security divisions within the Glasgow office. This role will support the daily operations of the stores department to ensure proper inventory control and accurate record-keeping.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Receiving, inspecting and recording incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
Organising and maintaining inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
Issuing materials to departments or production as per requisitions.
Tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages, excess, or obsolete stock.
Maintaining accurate stock records and performing regular stock reconciliations.
Ensuring that all materials are stored safely and in accordance with company standards.
Coordinating with purchasing, logistics and production teams for timely material flow.
Enforcing store policies and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
Maintaining the purchased plant list and being aware of location and calibration dates
About you:
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Good understanding of inventory management systems and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory software
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of working in stores, warehouse or similar environments
Handling incoming and outgoing goods including paperwork and documentation
A strong understanding of and adherence to safety procedures
Electrical / plumbing knowledge desired but not essential
