The role
As a Fleet Coordinator, you’ll provide day‑to‑day telephone and administrative support across a wide range of fleet management activities. You will help ensure vehicles remain legally compliant, maintained correctly and supported throughout their contract life. The role involves engaging with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that all fleet activities meet operational, legislative and safety requirements.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
1. Scheduling and monitoring daily vehicle maintenance, including booking and tracking activities
2. Liaising with suppliers to ensure vehicles remain compliant with legislation and contract requirements
3. Supporting incident and accident processes, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
4. Managing legal and operational documentation, including invoice verification
5. Coordinating end‑to‑end maintenance operations, working closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
This role is full time working 37 hours per week and is mainly based at Walsall, West Midlands with flexible and hybrid working arrangements. This is a Fixed Term Contract for nine months.
Essential experience of the Fleet Coordinator:
6. Excellent planning and organisational skills
7. Strong administrative capability, with accuracy and attention to detail
8. Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
9. Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications for the Fleet Coordinator:
10. Educated to General Certificate of Secondary Education level
11. Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
