Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role: Reviewing pre-employment health questionnaires for our new employees to ascertain their fitness to perform specific roles; identifying any existing health conditions requiring support/modification of working practices to comply with the relevant legislation Arranging and completing assessments related to fitness standards for particular job roles e.g. drivers, food handlers, working at heights etc. Liaising with our Risk Management team to stay abreast of departmental occupational risks, ensuring risk assessments are in place where required, conducting these where necessary Consulting with our OH Physician to ensure our health surveillance programme is appropriate, accurately completed and meets current legislative requirements; advising managers of collective health surveillance results, identifying issues as appropriate and supporting resolution Providing advice to Line Managers and Business Partners regarding work and health following Occupational Health referrals due to sickness absence, work performance, health conditions, injury etc. Assisting Line Managers and Business Partners in managing people absence to reduce levels and costs Making and managing onward referrals to the OH physician, General Practitioners, OH physiotherapy, CBT Counsellor, our Employee Assistance Programme and other relevant health providers within your professional practice Administering the system for delivering Display Screen Equipment training and self-assessment Following up on specific DSE issues identified which may be impacting health Working with all stakeholders in identifying opportunities for health promotion, health engagement activities, education, training and preventative measures and contributing to the development, delivery and promotion of Gleneagles Health & Wellbeing Strategy Progressing and maintaining arrangements for the Healthy Working Lives initiative and awards Providing back-up for first aid incidents as required; regular checking of departmental first aid supplies and Automatic External Defibrillators Maintaining a system to enable the provision of Occupational Health activity, collating reports on emerging trends/outcomes, developing, implementing and regularly reviewing operating policies and procedures Inputting projected Occupational Health costs to the budget process, effectively managing these costs Reviewing periodic reports from the EAP service along with the Account Manager and the People Partner Lead, providing recommendations for improvement and innovative solutions Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way The kind of person we're looking for: A Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an Occupational Health qualification, you're also Part 3 of the NMC registered You bring significant experience in delivering Occupational Health services, with a strong professional foundation gained either as an independent practitioner or as part of a dedicated Occupational Health team Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and Occupational Health Law are both key for this role, and you’re confident in applying both the theoretical frameworks and the practical elements of best practice to support a safe and thriving workplace Ideally, you’ll also have experience providing Mental Health support, along with a sound understanding of A&E procedures, enabling you to respond effectively and compassionately to a wide range of colleague health needs You're committed to championing wellbeing and ensuring our people feel supported, cared for and safe in their working environment Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way What’s in it for you: Time to let your hair down 30 days holiday (including bank holidays) that increases with service Seasonal parties and local social events 50% discount on Food & Beverage, Country Pursuits, Spa and Hair Salon (Mon-Thurs) and the Golf Driving Range Golf Membership (with access to all 3 championship courses) for £50.00 per annum Treats in your pocket Flexi points into your Perkbox wallet to spend as you choose.
