Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Lead General Practitioner to support a GP Surgery, just outside of Leeds for a minimum of 3 months.
This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced GP to further develop their scope of practice, within an established organisation.
Location: Castleford, Leeds
Contract: Locum - 3 month contract
Start Date: December (date TBC)
Pay: £100 LTD p/h - paid weekly
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lead GP to support our Clients GP Practice on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a confident and proactive General Practitioner with experience in clinical leadership and practice support. You will work closely with the practice team to ensure high-quality patient care, effective clinical governance and continuity across services during this period.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team
* Deliver high-quality primary care to the practice population
* Manage clinical workloads including telephone, face-to-face and urgent care appointments
* Provide supervision, support, and mentorship to clinical staff where required
* Support day-to-day operational functions and decision-making within the practice
* Oversee clinical governance and ensure adherence to practice and NHS policies
* Participate in MDT meetings, clinical audits and practice improvement activities
* Ensure safe and effective prescribing practices
* Maintain accurate and timely patient records (EMIS/S1 experience beneficial)
Requirements
* GMC-registered General Practitioner
* Experience in a Lead GP / Clinical Lead / Senior GP capacity
* Proven ability to manage and support clinical teams
* Strong decision-making and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a primary care setting
* Availability to commit to the full contract period (December start, up to 3 months)
* Ability to commute to Castleford
