Responsibilities
* Supervising and supporting all workshop personnel and activities
* Coordinating inspection services in accordance with requirements
* Improving HSEQ levels in the workshop and achieving stellar performance in compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures
* Training and developing staff, suppliers and clients, which includes tool/PCE familiarisation
* Controlling and keeping an up-to-date and accurate inventory of the stock, spare levels, ensuring required levels are available and that any parts issued are accurately recorded, tracked and charged
* Organising and supervising the yearly asset and inventory count
* Checking and maintaining shop tools required
* Ensuring that all assets have full traceability and certification and are fit for purpose, also new purchases to be supplied with relevant certificates
* At all times to be aware of operational resources and constraints, and assist in all issues related to service delivery including pre-job preparation
* Delegating duties to (Senior) Workshop Technician(s), providing support and assistance where required
* Working closely with relevant departments, i.e. Sales and Engineering, to confirm operational requirements and advising of shortfalls in a timely manner, e.g. reporting on material issues
* Ensuring all redress, build sheets and scanned documents are placed in correct and relevant location and available for client inspection along with asset required certification
* Preparing equipment load-outs, kitting out shipping baskets and workshop containers with equipment for operations. Ensuring all equipment is loaded and secured safely
* Reviewing returning equipment, noting serial/asset numbers, unloading equipment from shipping basket/container and ensuring 3rd party rental equipment is identified and promptly returned
* Reporting of items and assets returned DBR on non-returned and advising, where applicable, invoicing department and operations in a timely manner
Qualifications/Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Minimum of HNC/HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
* Extensive experience in a similar role with downhole oilfield products, tools and equipment
* Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering (bespoke) training sessions
* Ability to understand 100% Technical B.O.M (Bill of Materials) and drawings for downhole tools
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English
* Full Driving Licence
Desirable:
* IOSH qualified
* Offshore safety and survival training, e.g. BOSIET
* Supervisory training
* Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
