Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics, transportation, warehousing, installation coordination, and client services. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of best practices for the transportation and storage of fine art.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all day‑to‑day logistics operations, including transportation, storage, packing, crating, installation, and deinstallation services.
* Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure the safe handling of fine art, antiques, and other high‑value assets.
* Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Manage and supervise logistics coordinators, warehouse personnel, art handlers, drivers, and installation teams.
* Conduct performance evaluations, training, and development initiatives.
* Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, and storage solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in operations management, preferably within fine art logistics.
* Proven experience managing teams and complex logistics projects.
* Strong knowledge of warehousing, transportation planning, inventory management, and project coordination.
* Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
* Experience working with galleries, museums, auction houses, or private art collections.
* Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and fine art insurance requirements.
