Summary: As part of a small team, reporting into the Product Governance –Manager. You will be a Senior Associate member of the team.

This role is to support the wider team in ensuring that the products are designed, produced, and marketed in compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.

This role of Product Governance Senior Associate requires you to collaborate with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to assist in the establishment of product governance throughout our scheme documents. frameworks and processes, and to implement necessary controls to mitigate potential risks.

Ultimately, the job holder plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity, reputation, and legal compliance of the company's products throughout their lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Understanding Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) regulations, and impact on the Product Governance team.
* Assisting the Manager/Assistant Manager (and Head of department where necessary), including but not limited to producing and presenting reports and where appropriate attending meetings both internally and externally
* Review of scheme documentation (full and simplified prospectus, KIID, PRIIP, instrument of incorporation / trust deed) to ensure that prospectuses, simplified prospectuses, KIID, PRIIP and EMT are in line with FCA (or any such other regulator) requirements.
* Managing projects/updates from start to finish, organising and assisting with the wider team workload.
* Managing technical projects/updates from start to finish, organising and creating working groups to include research, development, implementation, and operation.
* All changes to CISs or any other regulatory rules: Ensuring that all changes (launch, modification, or closure) are undertaken within the requirements of the FCA's Sourcebook.
* Detailed knowledge of the FCA sourcebook.
* Teaching or training team members on processes/procedures both existing and newly introduced, company's products, services etc.
* Ongoing maintenance of procedures and policies.
* High level communication with both verbal and written with external and internal stakeholders (such as the Depositary/Trustee, FCA, Product Delivery team, Investment Risk & Compliance, Legal Department and Compliance).
* Providing guidance, mentorship, support, and contributing specialised knowledge, both with day-to-day duties and technical/regulatory aspects to the Manager/Assistant Manager and members of the team.
* Reviewing and verifying regulatory information, policy statements, consultation papers and guidance; working with team leadership to ensure this is disseminated to all parties.
* Provide sign off and approval for scheme documentation to allow submission to depositaries, regulators (namely the FCA) and to allow changes to become effective and publicly available.
* Ensuring all breaches are raised and correctly completed to allow for development/training/support needs (where required) to be instigated.
* Each member of staff has responsibility to adhere to Group's policies and procedures. To ensure operational controls are carried out in accordance with laid down procedures, to ensure the ongoing mitigation of business risk. In this regard regular training should be agreed with the departmental manager / Assistant Manager.

* Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements, changes/updates to CISs and the implications, governance sign off and implementation.
* Ability to recommend and implement new processes/procedures and to implement these once agreed.
* Leadership and mentorship abilities to ensure full support and guidance is provided.
* Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills both within the team and the wider areas of the company.
* Proven ability to analyse issues and recommend solutions.
* Ability to work to deadlines and to also be able to deal with high volume workloads.
* Good interpersonal skills are essential when liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Education:

* Undertake or have undertaken the IMC modules
