IPS have partnered with a leading, global (re)insurer in their search for a Research & Development Manager to join their high-performing team.
An exciting opportunity to join a market-leading function at the forefront of R&D analytics, you will be working closely with Senior management to lead tailored project work covering multiple regions, perils, and natural hazards. You will have ample opportunity to be involved in model validation, evaluation, and process improvements, as well as the chance to lead on scenario development to help guide business view of risk. Similarly, as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, as well as team leadership responsibilities, this role is well aligned to professionals who enjoy engaging, communicating, and translating analytics for a wide range of audiences. To be considered for this position, successful applicants should:
1. Have an advanced understanding of catastrophe modelling tools and process gained at a (re)insurer, vendor, consultancy, or similar.
2. Technical proficiency using coding and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and GIS tools.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively translate analytics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
