The Opportunity Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting our client in the appointment of an Outside Technician to join their operations team within a high-performing chemical manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, operational role suited to an individual with strong process experience who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical setting. You will play a key role in supporting plant performance, ensuring safe operations and contributing to continuous improvement across site. Working closely with the Control Room and wider production team, you will be instrumental in maintaining efficient plant operations while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities Support daily production activities, ensuring delivery against operational KPIs Monitor and adjust chemical processes in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work collaboratively with Control Room Operators to coordinate plant operations and process changes Promote and embed a strong safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with COMAH regulations Carry out process sampling and basic laboratory analysis, reporting findings accurately Perform Level 1 maintenance and support basic fault finding activities Safely manage tanker loading and offloading operations Complete operational logs, plant checks and safety inspections accurately Adhere strictly to Permit to Work systems and controlled operational procedures Provide clear and concise shift handovers to ensure operational continuity Support the development of new processes and contribute to ongoing site improvements About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Proven experience within chemical manufacturing or a high-hazard process environment (ideally 5 years) Relevant process qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent) Strong understanding of safe systems of work within a COMAH or similar regulated environment (desirable) A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team A practical, hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently Flexibility to work continental shift patterns Forklift licence (desirable but not essential) Key Attributes Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance High attention to detail and operational accuracy Ability to adapt and respond to changing plant conditions Team-focused with a collaborative working style Driven to contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence
