About the Role:
We are seeking a committed, experienced, and motivated Supervising Senior Caseworker to join our specialist Immigration and Legal Aid team. This senior position involves managing a complex immigration caseload, supervising, developing, and supporting a team of lawyers and caseworkers.
This role combines legal expertise, mentoring, and operational oversight. You will lead in providing Legal Aid and private immigration services while fostering continuous learning, compliance, and compassion aligned with our firm’s values.

As a Senior Caseworker with IAAS Supervisor status, you will help shape our Legal Aid services' culture and standards, oversee legal risk, and contribute to positive client outcomes within a collaborative team environment.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
* Provide leadership and manage caseworkers, trainees, and solicitors.
* Manage Legal Aid and private immigration cases including asylum, human rights, detention, trafficking victims, entry clearance appeals, judicial reviews, and tribunals.
* Oversee case allocation and capacity planning.
* Handle Legal Aid funding applications and documentation.
* Draft legal documents such as witness statements and representations.
* Attend conferences, hearings, and court proceedings as needed.
* Provide internal training and ensure legal quality standards.
* Support business development and marketing initiatives.
Key Skills Required:
* Valid Practicing Certificate and IAAS Level 2 Senior Caseworker accreditation.
* Supervisory experience managing team performance and KPIs.
* Strong knowledge of immigration, asylum, detention, and public law.
* Experience with Legal Aid funding, billing, and compliance.
* Excellent client care skills, especially with vulnerable clients.
* Proactive leadership, training, and mentoring abilities.
* Advocacy experience is advantageous.
* IT and case management system proficiency.
* Experience in immigration tribunals and private client immigration matters.
* Familiarity with internal audits, capacity reporting, and team performance monitoring.
