Role: Senior Business Analyst Domain: Commodities Project: Freight operations digital transformation Day rate: Circa £800/d (inside IR35) Location: London (hybrid - 3 days per week) Contract: 6 months initial (multi-year scope) X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading client, offering the opportunity for a Contract Senior Business Analyst to drive digital transformation across their freight operations. As Senior BA, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging business and technology — bringing deep freight domain expertise to design and enhance digital freight platforms that manage exposure, vessel schedules and the full deal lifecycle. Responsibilities of the Contract Business Analyst (Freight) Lead business analysis for vessel operations, port activities, demurrage, voyage claims and freight settlement Design and support digital freight platforms that manage freight exposure, vessel schedules and deal lifecycle processes Lead integration with ETRM/CTRM platforms, ensuring alignment with trading and risk management goals Collaborate with Freight, SAP, Tax and related teams to gather, analyze, and define business requirements Support compliance initiatives around EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime, etc Requirements for the Contract Business Analyst (Freight) Proven experience operating at a Senior Business Analyst level Strong background in both freight operations and trading environments Hands-on experience with Veson IMOS strongly prefered Demonstrable agile project management experience Long-term contract role with rates circa £800/d - and a great opportunity to shape high-impact digital initiatives around digital, analytics and freight initiatives within a fast-moving global energy business.
