Rate of Pay: £16.21 - £21.12 per hour
Summary:
The Pensions Support Admin Officer will provide efficient, flexible, and effective administrative support to the Joint Head of Pensions Governance. The role involves managing pensions governance administration, coordinating meetings across Essex and Kent forces, maintaining accurate records and trackers, and acting as a key liaison point for internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, timely support.
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Joint Head of Pensions Governance, including inbox management and document progression
* Support the delivery of pensions governance processes, ensuring all case information is current, accurate, and tracked
* Send, receive, escalate, and file correspondence and documentation for both Essex and Kent forces, liaising with key stakeholders where required
* Organise and support joint Tactical Pensions meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and distribution of actions and reports
* Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, prioritise statutory tasks, and support governance deadlines by providing practical solutions
* Maintain and update trackers, including the Attendance & Wellbeing Management Group Ill Health Retirement tracker, ensuring timely submission for payroll adjustments
Qualification:
* Educated to at least GCE A-level standard or equivalent
Essentials:
* Proven experience in project support or senior administrative roles
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, email, and intranet systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally within a confidential or sensitive environment
