Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for:
Budget setting, regular forecasting, and providing updates to key stakeholders
Presenting financial information to key stakeholders, including board members and external partners
Preparing monthly accounts, including P&L accounts per contract fund, creating P&Ls and cash flow forecasts from scratch
Oversee transactional finance duties such as purchase ledger, credit and debit control, cash ledger, and payroll
Year-end preparation and liaising with auditors
Managing a finance team of two
Improving and modernising financial processes and systems
Driving commercial decision making across the charityProfile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
Comprehensive accountancy knowledge, including the ability producing month and year end accounts independently
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collate, present & interpret information relating to financial performance
Good computer literacy, including MS Excel
All-round accounts knowledge, including transactional finance and payroll (desirable)
Availability to work in Huddersfield 4 days per week
Experience within not for profit and charities sector is beneficial but not essentialJob Offer
A salary range of up to £45,000 per year
25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays plus a day off for your birthday
