Recently, my client successfully extended its contract with Thames Water for an additional five years.
Thames Water, the largest water and wastewater provider in the UK, serves 15 million customers across London and the Thames Valley. The extension ensures the current agreement continues through to the end of AMP8 in March 2030. The company is delivering work on three frameworks in the region, involving a diverse programme of water and wastewater projects aimed at improving the network.
As a Site Agent, you will play a vital role in our operational team, contributing to all project phases from tendering and design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
You will lead projects that benefit our environment and communities—ranging from flood defence improvements and upgrading water treatment works to implementing nature-based solutions that enhance biodiversity.
Responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with design and commercial teams to improve delivery efficiency and identify opportunities while managing risks.
2. Managing the site to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the client’s quality standards.
3. Handling site-level procurement, subcontractor logistics, and H&S reporting.
4. Providing project updates to the client and addressing concerns.
5. Overseeing the installation of temporary works as a Temporary Works Coordinator, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Requirements:
1. CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS certifications.
2. HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
3. Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
4. Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
5. Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
6. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across operational sites.
