We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the picturesque town of Shaftesbury, Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to inspire young minds and nurture a curiosity for the world around them.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Deliver dynamic and engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 an advantage)
* Encourage students to develop scientific thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love of learning
* Assess student progress effectively and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Contribute to the school’s wider activities, including STEM initiatives and clubs
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of teaching and learning
About You
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have a degree in Science or a related discipline
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
* Be an effective communicator with strong classroom management skills
* Show commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
