The Bank Change Director will be responsible for defining, driving, and executing enterprise-wide transformation portfolios programs and projects. This role requires a strategic leader who understands digital payments banking, fintech innovation, and regulatory landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering complex change in fast-paced environments.
Bank of London is in (re) start- up mode with a lot to do as we enter a significant period of growth. To support this we are seeking a hands on leader to manage the breadth of a Bank wide portfolio of change whilst having the ability to go deep into specific projects and lead from the front.
Our change can be put into 3 key portfolios of focus – (1)The design and delivery of banking new products and services in line with our growth ambitions, (2) The strengthening of our risk management and controls to become a very strong proposition for our regulators and clients, (3) The modernisation of the bank as an organisation, delivering new standards of performance with a heavy push towards automation, global capabilities (possibly through M&A activity) and best in class polices, process and operations.
Responsibilities
Transformation Strategy, Targets and Roadmap
* Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive transformation roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
* Identify and manage board and investor level targets for bank performance, align change to meet performance targets and use a comprehensive set of MI to track and manage bank level performance
* Identify key areas for innovation, process optimisation, automation and technology enablement.
* Support the Chief Transformation Officer and CEO in investor relations and data provision
Portfolio and Programme Management
* Oversee the execution of multi-functional transformation programmes including digital banking platforms, new products, client/customer experience, core system modernisation/alignment, ongoing regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
* Implement agile and lean methodologies to accelerate delivery and ensure measurable outcomes.
* Ensure we have a consistently applied business change/New Product process, supported by effectively managed business cases, project delivery and benefits realisation
Stakeholder Management
* Work cross functionally with C-suite executives and their respective teams, and external partners to align on and deliver our strategic priorities.
* Communicate transformation progress, risks, and benefits to stakeholders at all levels.
* Manage a plan that addresses the need to build an agile and delivery focussed change culture within the Bank. This includes effective resourcing, learning, partnerships, recognition and communication.
Automation and Digital Enablement
* Collaborate closely with Product, Technology, Commercial, Risk and Data teams to implement new systems, adopt emerging technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, open banking), and enhance our digital channels offering.
Regulatory & Risk Alignment
* Ensure transformation programs align with regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements in all our operating markets.
Culture & Change Management
* Design and foster a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability.
* Design and lead change management initiatives to embed new ways of working across the organisation.
Location
* London (5 days per week in the office)
* Travel to other locations may be required on occasion.
