Overview
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and professional installation of Ansul Fire Suppression systems in line with industry standards. Deliver and expertly install a variety of company products, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Respond promptly to system faults and breakdowns, carrying out effective fault diagnosis and resolution. Provide a high standard of customer service on-site, addressing client queries and technical concerns with professionalism and clarity.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and professional installation of Ansul Fire Suppression systems in line with industry standards
* Deliver and expertly install a variety of company products, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
* Respond promptly to system faults and breakdowns, carrying out effective fault diagnosis and resolution
* Provide a high standard of customer service on-site, addressing client queries and technical concerns with professionalism and clarity
* Within 3–4 months, gain confidence on the job and progress to official Ansul training and certifications
Experience and Qualifications
* Experience with Ansul Fire Suppression Systems is ideal (service, remedials, install on R102 & Piranha with UL300 & LPS1223 standards), but we’ll also consider engineers with strong plumbing or mechanical skills who are keen to train in this area
* A CSCS card or similar site safety certification would be an advantage; we can support you in obtaining this if needed
* Awareness of fire safety regulations is helpful, but we’ll provide full training to bring you up to speed on the standards specific to Ansul suppression systems
* Comfortable working from technical drawings and system schematics; if you’ve done this in plumbing, pipework, or mechanical roles, those skills transfer

What you receive
£29,000 – £35,000 per annum, full time, plus a package designed to support you in and out of work. We offer a company vehicle for reasonable personal use, 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, your birthday off, Company Pension, phone, and uniform. Premium rate for unsociable hours is also included.
Role specifics
Fire Suppression Engineer to join the team at Abbot Fire Group. You’ll be installing, servicing and maintaining Ansul Fire Suppression systems for a wide range of clients across the UK. If you’re already Ansul trained, that’s a plus—but not a deal-breaker. Ansul systems focus on pipework, canisters and nozzles, so a background in plumbing, pipefitting or similar mechanical work is valuable. Training is provided with a goal of being confident on the job within 3–4 months, followed by official Ansul training and certifications, creating a unique lifelong skillset.
