Band 3 Mental Health Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor (Permanent)
Location: Wirral | Start Date: ASAP
Are you an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated individual who is eager to make a real difference in mental health care? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Adult Occupational Therapy Team. This post is based at the Springview Mental Health Unit, Clatterbridge Hospital and you will work across multiple wards which may include:
* Three acute adult mental health assessment wards
* A ward for people with dementia
* A Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate awareness of Occupational Therapy and mental health conditions and manage risk appropriately.
* Work as part of the Occupational Therapy team to plan and facilitate a varied programme of therapeutic activities, in small groups or one-to-one with service users.
* Record clinical documentation reflecting service user presentations and progress.
* Collaborate with the entire Occupational Therapy team and the integrated multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience for each individual.

* Excellent self-management and organisational skills.
* Caring, enthusiastic, adaptable and eager to learn.
* Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
* Team player who can take direction but also work autonomously. Experience in this type of work is desirable, but aptitude and motivation are essential.

* Receive dedicated guidance from experienced Occupational Therapists.
* Access ongoing professional development, including clinical supervision, annual appraisals, Heart of Care training for support staff, training opportunities, and free access to a gym.

Induction and Start dates
All new starters commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme. P2C offers up to 3 weeks of training to meet induction/initial training requirements.
