The work will be fast paced and no two days will be the sameAs Data Engineer, you will- Collaborate with IT, data, business, and CRM teams to design and implement cloud-based data solutions integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other data sources, regularly engaging stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to team strategy and problem-solving.- Lead initiatives to enhance data quality and automation, mentor colleagues on cloud-native data engineering and Azure technologies, support data governance frameworks, provide training on cloud platforms, and pursue ongoing professional development in cloud data engineering.To be considered as a Data Engineer, you'll need:- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar cloud-first data role, ideally using the Microsoft technology stack.- Firsthand experience with Microsoft Fabric components, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and other Azure data services.- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, analysing, and managing large-scale data sets.- Experience integrating and customising Microsoft Dynamics 365 data solutions in a cloud environment.- Demonstrated ability to design and implement automated, scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in Azure and Fabric.First interviews will be held on Microsoft Teams in the week commencing 02/02/2026 - followed by a second interview in-person at our Swindon Office.If you would like to talk to us e.g. about workplace adjustments or working patterns, please contact Kieth Anderson, Senior Data Engineer, on keith.anderson@english-heritage.org.uk.
