Quantity Surveyor Infrastructure - Public Realm West Yorkshire Up to £50,000 per annum The Opportunity Kenton Black is working with a leading principal contractor within the infrastructure sector who is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major regeneration scheme in West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team and play a key role in the commercial management of a high-profile project, contributing to both project performance and long-term regional development. Key Responsibilities Support and promote a safe working environment across all project activities Prepare and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, pricing, and schedules Manage subcontract packages, including interim valuations and change control Issue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors in line with contractual requirements Manage contract changes, including compensation event quotations Produce and submit monthly applications in accordance with contract terms Work closely with operational and engineering teams to maintain accurate site records Prepare detailed monthly reports, including Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) Maintain and update cost plans, including tracking and forecasting project spend Attend progress and risk meetings, providing commercial and contractual input to wider project teams About You Good understanding of standard forms of contract (NEC experience desirable) Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and commercial systems (e.g. CEMAR, Oracle or similar) Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Good knowledge of construction and infrastructure processes Excellent time management and organisational skills Relevant degree or equivalent commercial experience CSCS card (appropriate level) Professional membership (MCIOB, MRICS) or working towards (desirable) The Client Our client is a well-established contractor with a strong reputation in the UK infrastructure sector, delivering a wide range of civil engineering and regeneration projects through long-term frameworks and key partnerships.
