Roles and Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise a team of HGV drivers and transport staff
* Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
* Monitor driver hours, tachograph compliance, and Working Time Directive adherence
* Oversee route planning efficiency and fleet utilisation
* Conduct driver briefings and debriefs
* Handle transport issues including delays, breakdowns and customer queries
* Maintain compliance with Road Traffic Act, DVSA and transport legislation
* Complete KPI reporting and shift performance analysis
* Support the Transport Manager with operational performance and cost control
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as a high performing Transport Supervisor, or Transport Shift Manager
* Strong knowledge of driver hours regulations and tachograph rules
* Experience managing HGV drivers in a fast-paced logistics environment
* Understanding of transport compliance and fleet operations
* CPC (desirable)
