POSITION MISSION
The Content Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Senior Editorial Content Manager in delivering EFC's editorial content strategy in line with the new EFC brand identity. This will include playing a key role in the day-to-day creation of editorial content, including for the organisation's new website ), for event programming and scripting and for corporate reporting (digital and hard copy), ensuring high-quality, engaging content that drives audience growth.
This role will also work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure EFC's editorial content is integrated with wider campaigns and initiatives and complements EFC social media channel content.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Regular drafting and editing of website content:play a key role in ensuring EFC's website is regularly updated with news which celebrates Member Clubs and positively highlights EFC's work to deliver on its strategic objectives.
Event scripting: EFC delivers 60+ events per year, including our agenda setting General Assembly and Club Connect platforms. These events require careful scripting, working with hosts and speakers to ensure the delivery of enriching content for attendees and for a broader audience through digital and social media.
Production of corporate reports: supporting the Senior Editorial Content Manager, draft, edit and proof-read high-quality corporate reports (digital and print) in a timely manner (this includes the EFC Annual Report).
Performance analysis: monitor and analyse content performance metrics using data analytics to gain insights, optimise strategy, and report on key results to broader Communications department.
General: as a key member of a small Communications team at EFC, support broader Communications projects, membership communications and events throughout the year.
Member Club Communications: support the development of communications for EFC member clubs (in close collaboration with EFC's Membership department) via a CRM system.
Skills & Requirements
EXPERIENCE
Editorial content experience: ideally 3-5 years of editorial content experience, including positively contributing to a variety of content for a busy, high-quality website. Demonstrable experience writing content for high quality publications (print and digital) and a good understanding of social media. Experience in the sports industry is not essential but would be a plus.
Content and SEO expertise: strong understanding of content marketing principles, search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, and the use of analytics tools.
Exceptional communication skills: excellent written, verbal, and editing and proof-reading abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Strategic and creative thinking: the ability to translate business goals into compelling content experiences and generate innovative ideas.
Data-driven mindset: proficiency in using data and metrics to measure content performance.
SKILLS
Positive, proactive, and ambitious, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Full fluency in spoken and written English (likely to suit a native English speaker / writer. Additional European language not required but would be a plus.
Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to successfully manage several simultaneous projects, identify tasks and projects that need to be prioritised and deliver them in a fast-paced / deadline-oriented environment.
Highly skilled editor with excellent writing, proof-reading, editing abilities.
