As a Complex Investigation Technician, you will be at the forefront of our mission to protect and restore our natural environment. Your Role
Your work will have a direct impact on the environment we serve, guiding our efforts to prevent any potential impacts to our precious natural environment and preventing future risks. In this vital position, you will support our reactive delivery teams in the investigation and management of complex pollution, flooding or customer issues, identifying root cause issues, managing resolutions, and carrying out lessons learnt to ensure that issues do not re-occur.
You will investigate and support resolution, delivering business process improvements and recommendations for more efficient ways of working. Ensuring effective and efficient analysis and support for successful implementation of process improvement strategies to support customer, flooding, and pollution strategies.
Some of your everyday activities could include:
1. Actively support pollution, flooding and customer issues, investigate and provide root cause analysis to identify complex issues and ensure mitigation is in place to minimise repeat failure.
2. Support Customer Leads with communications to support our customers around complex issues.
3. Act as point of contact for complex issues, providing relevant updates and information as needed.
4. Investigate and model data and process issues to identify root causes, highlight useful information and suggest conclusions to support business decision making.
5. Analyse large data sets and make recommendations for new business initiatives to pursue.
6. Summarise and present approach and findings for data analysed.
Your Skills and Experience
* Ability to adapt, challenge and change.
* Working knowledge of sewer systems is desirable.
* Full UK driving licence is essential as you will be visiting lots of our brilliant region's places.
* A passion for wanting to protect the environment and the desire to learn about our industry.
* Experience of development of data systems, records, and reporting.
* ICT literate in various programmes and adaptable to new systems.
* Ability to assess risks and make significant operational decisions with incomplete information.
