Aspen’s Bar & Kitchen at the SnowDome offers a unique alpine dining experience in the heart of Tamworth. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Sous Chef to support the kitchen operation and help deliver a fresh, exciting food offer that matches this one‑of‑a‑kind setting.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high quality food and ensure a smooth, efficient kitchen operation. You’ll lead by example during service, support the development of the kitchen team, and play a key part in maintaining high standards across quality, consistency and performance.

Job Type: Full-Time
Full‑time: 40hrs a week (5 out of 7 days, including evenings and weekends)
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
* Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
* Deliver consistent high standards in quality and presentation
* Assist with menu development and seasonal food ideas
* Help manage stock levels, food costs and kitchen efficiency
* Ensure food safety, hygiene and compliance standards are maintained
* Train and develop junior kitchen team members
* Keep the kitchen organised, clean and operating smoothly
* Step into leadership responsibilities when the Head Chef is absent
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
* Good understanding of stock management and cost control
* A positive, team‑focused attitude
* Passion for food quality and delivering great guest experiences
* Strong communication and leadership skills
