Weekend Personal Assistant / Light Carer (Female) — Lewes
Location: Lewes (home-based, with occasional local outings)
Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 12:00 midday start, 2–3 hours per day
Start Date: Saturday 7th March
Pay: £15 per hour (Self-Employed)
About the Role
I am a neurodivergent wheelchair user (autism and ADHD) with multiple chronic illnesses, looking for a female personal assistant / light carer to provide practical weekend support.
This role focuses on light personal care and household assistance, helping me maintain comfort, hygiene, and a clean, well-organised home environment. It does not involve heavy care duties or administrative PA work.
Key ResponsibilitiesLight Personal Care (Female Required)
* Assistance with washing hair
* Support with personal grooming as needed
* Help with comfort and positioning
* Pushing a manual wheelchair when required
Household Support
* Light cleaning and tidying of the home
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment
* Preparing simple meals such as lunch, drinks, and snacks
* Basic household tasks as needed
Practical Support
* Driving locally for fresh air or short outings when required
* Supporting safe wheelchair use outside the home
* Occasional assistance with dog care if needed
About You

Essential Requirements
* Female applicant (due to personal care needs)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
* Comfortable assisting a wheelchair user
* Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
* Empathetic and understanding of disability or chronic illness
* Comfortable around smoking
* Comfortable around dogs
Desirable
* Previous experience in care, support work, or domestic roles
* Understanding of autism/ADHD
* Basic cooking skills
