Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Empowering Every Learner
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £89–£108 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
Want to be part of something meaningful?
We’re working with a fantastic specialist setting in Newcastle that supports young people aged 11–19 with autism and a range of complex learning needs. The school is built on mutual respect, emotional well-being, and helping every student build the tools to communicate, grow in confidence, and thrive—both in and beyond the classroom.
You won’t just be supporting lessons—you’ll be helping young people value themselves and their achievements, develop independence, and feel part of something bigger.
This is a place where connection matters. Where every interaction is a chance to build trust, self-belief, and a sense of community. And where you’ll be valued as much as the pupils you support.
In this role, you’ll:
1. Work with pupils with autism and complex needs in a structured, nurturing environment
2. Promote positive emotional regulation and communication skills
3. Encourage independence and a sense of self-worth
4. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide holistic support
5. Help pupils grow personally, socially, and academically
Who we’re looking for:
You might already have experience supporting young people with SEND—or you might just have a genuine passion to learn. Either way, you’ll bring empathy, patience, and the ability to adapt to different needs and personalities. You’ll understand the importance of relationships and creating safe, consistent spaces where every learner can belong and succeed.
Thrive-trained? Great. If not, we’ll fund your training to help you develop your skills and confidence.
