This role is based in an exceptionally well-run 120-bed home providing both General Nursing and Dementia Care. The home benefits from a strong, established leadership structure, with the Home Manager supported by two Deputy Home Managers and four Unit Managers, ensuring visible leadership, shared accountability, and consistent standards across the service.
The home has developed robust, long-term relationships with external stakeholders and enjoys a highly collaborative working partnership within the local community. With a strong focus on resident experience, nutrition and hydration are central to the home’s approach and have been key to its long-term success. Currently rated with 4s across the board, the home offers a strong and steady platform, with clear potential to build further on the solid foundations created by the departing manager.
About the Role
As a Care Home Manager, you will provide consistent, reliable leadership, creating an environment where residents feel safe, supported, and valued. You will lead by example, maintaining stability within the home while guiding teams and residents through ongoing development and improvements.
You will have overall responsibility for the quality of care, ensuring residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met with compassion and respect. Championing person-centred care, you will promote independence, choice, and dignity for every resident.
Your leadership will be strong and steady. You will support colleagues through times of transition, maintaining clear communication, setting expectations, and fostering a culture of openness, learning, and continuous improvement. You will lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team, ensuring staff receive supervision, feedback, and opportunities to grow, while providing guidance and oversight to keep care evidence-based and responsive to residents’ needs.
You will champion ongoing improvement, listening to feedback and learning from experience to ensure systems are effective, reliable, and truly person-centred. Safeguarding and residents’ wellbeing will always be central, and you will work collaboratively with staff and external partners to ensure everyone feels safe, supported, and empowered.
