Occupational Therapist – Band 5 (£32,073 – £39,043) – Permanent, Full‑Time (37.5 hours per week).

Responsibilities
* Assess, plan and implement Occupational Therapy for a designated caseload and adapt interventions to meet client needs (including therapeutic handling, participation in treatment activities, dealing with distressing/sensitive issues).
* Ensure patients and carers are integral to treatment planning and goal setting.
* Responsible for assessment, prescription and fitting of equipment, while mindful of local cost implications.
* Maintain up‑to‑date written and electronic records, reports and activity data in accordance with professional and Trust standards.
* Provide intervention in a variety of environments: clients’ homes, hospital settings, schools, work environments, etc.
Person Specification – Skills & Knowledge (Essential)
* Ability to assess, analyse and develop an OT plan of care.
* Ability to progress a patient’s plan of care.
* Ability to contribute to the DC planning process.
* To create and maintain accurate OT patient records.
* Basic knowledge of health legislation and current practice, including risk management and health/safety issues.
* Committed to CPD.
* Some knowledge of best practice in OT.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Diploma/Degree OT.
* Health Professions Council registration.
Experience (Essential)
* Documented evidence of clinical placements and CPD.
* Use of functional assessment and activity analysis.
* Undertaking literature review/research.
