Make a Difference to a child in Cheshire East as a Step-Forward Foster Carer
Many children and young people, including siblings, in Cheshire East are ready to move from residential care into loving, stable family homes, and you could be the person to help them take that next step. Cheshire East Council is seeking Step-Forward Foster Carers who can welcome a child into their home as part of their family, providing care, guidance, and consistency to help them to build trust, grow in confidence, and stay connected to their community, schools, friends, and family.
Does this sound like you?
• Aged 21 or over with the legal Right to Work in the UK
• Experience supporting children, young people, or adults – either professionally or personally
• Able to provide a stable, nurturing home for a young person transitioning from residential care
• At least one spare bedroom that can be dedicated to fostering
• Can commit to full-time care within your home (one person if couple)
• Open to learning, reflecting, and working closely with professionals

With steady support and a nurturing home environment, you could help a young person to begin to see what is possible for their future. In recognition of the complexity and level of commitment required, £52,000 per annum (£1,000 per week) will be paid, with a 50% retainer payable pre-placement.
