Overview
The Environment Agency is fully committed to inclusivity and equal opportunities, offering flexible work arrangements for all vacancies. Join us in a diverse environment where every voice is heard and valued.
The UK’s strategy to deliver Net Zero is driving a transformation in the energy sectors as they’re responsible for 24% of UK Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. They’ll need to fully decarbonise by 2050 whilst doubling electricity production. Concerns about energy security provide additional pressures to quickly transition to new sustainable sources of power, while maximising domestic sources of energy. Through effective regulation, we must ensure that energy sectors protect people and the environment from emissions, as well as mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
We’re recruiting a fixed-term role, up to 2 years, for somebody with experience of working in or regulating energy sectors, including combustion plants, waste incineration and refineries.
