* Assisting with differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needs

* Supporting emotional regulation and social interaction

* Implementing strategies recommended by external professionals (e.g. speech therapists, occupational therapists)

* Supporting pupils during transitions between ARP and mainstream classrooms

* Assisting with personal care, hygiene, or medical needs where required

* Monitoring progress and contributing to review meetings and documentation

* Promoting independence, confidence, and positive self-esteem

* Ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

* Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable

* Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

* Has strong communication skills and a proactive mindset

* Is confident supporting behaviour, emotional needs, and sensory regulation

Experience in specialist provisions, SEN schools, or ARPs is highly desirable, but candidates with transferable experience from care or support settings are also encouraged to apply.

Training & Development

The school offers extensive SEN-focused training, including:

* Autism awareness

* Sensory integration strategies

* Positive behaviour support

* Safeguarding and child protection

* Communication and interaction strategies

There are strong opportunities for long-term progression within SEN education.

Staff wellbeing is prioritised, and ARP staff are supported through regular supervision, planning time, and leadership input. The ARP is well-resourced and benefits from strong partnerships with external agencies.
