Head of Service Delivery
Encodar is seeking a Head of Service Delivery to lead the team responsible for Uniform Network Code (UNC) modification governance, workgroups and committees. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure all governance processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in full compliance with Code and Licence requirements.
Operating as the Joint Office, Encodar provides impartial UNC governance and works closely with industry, regulators and government to coordinate Code development and support the gas sector’s net zero transition. In this senior role, you will oversee all UNC code administration and lead the service delivery team, ensuring high‑quality chairing, secretariat support and critical friend services.
Role Accountabilities
* Team Leadership: lead and develop a specialist team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
* UNC Panel: liaise with the independent Panel chair to effectively operate this key industry meeting, providing stakeholders with timely and compliant documentation, accurately recording and communicating key decisions.
* Strategic development: support the Board in delivering long‑term strategic aims through effective processes, culture and performance.
* Reporting/Publishing: prepare and present regular reports on team performance, resource status and project management to the CEO and Board of Directors.
* Project Management: drive continuous improvement and lead projects supporting the transition to code manager
* Risk and Compliance: maintain robust governance, risk and compliance documentation and frameworks
* Stakeholder engagement: build strong relationships with key stakeholders, Ofgem, industry bodies, government departments and service providers.
* Business support: ensure effective cost control and governance processes, ensuring value for money from service providers.
