The Role We're seeking a Cybercrime Analyst to join our amazing Technical Operations team. Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don't worry if you have limited experience in this area: we can train you. Day to day, your responsibilities will include: Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks; Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers; Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications; Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows. Based at our Bath office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and will work closely with colleagues across different teams. To be successful, you’ll need Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity; A positive and solution-focused approach; Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention; Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English; Ability to engage with people in a friendly, helpful, and professional way; Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team; Aptitude for analysing and using technical information; Competence in handling incoming phone calls; Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided; A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or any field that promotes analytical thinking may be beneficial but is not essential.
