This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to become an Advocate in our Plymouth Advocacy Service.
Responsibilities
* Deliver face to face advocacy to children and young people aged 3-18
* Represent the child in meetings about them either in person or virtually
* Supervising a volunteer advocate
Qualifications
* Experience working with children and young people in a professional setting.
* Strong communication, listening, and relationship‑building skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and children's rights.
* Ability to advocate effectively on behalf of children and young people.
* Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
* Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and child‑centred practice.
A car driver is essential for the nature of this role.
This position will be based at Barnardo's Fourwoods Family Hub.
