Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an CNC Turner to join our business in Sheffield on a permanent basis. The starting salary is £31,075 and the working hours are 06.00-14.00 Monday to Thursday and 06.00-13.00 on a Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC turning machines
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
* Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
* Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
* Perform basic program edits at the machine (offsets, feeds, speeds)
* Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
* Identify and report faults, defects, or tooling issues
* Work to production schedules and quality standards
* Follow health & safety procedures at all times
Experience and Skills:
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Lathe Operator
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining processes
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Competent in using measuring equipment
* Basic understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar)
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
