The Credit Controller will play a key role in supporting the financial stability and ongoing growth of THX. The position is responsible for proactively engaging with customers to ensure the timely settlement of sales invoices, thereby maintaining healthy cash flow and liquidity. In addition, the role will contribute to effective credit risk management by monitoring and controlling credit exposure, supporting informed decision-making and safeguarding the business as it continues to grow. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Processing of sales invoice throughout the month. Issuing monthly statements to all customers. Identify customers with invoices that have become overdue. Reduce debtor days and percentage of overdue accounts to ensure targets are met and system/process problems are identified. Contact customers by phone and email to identify any issues with the accounts and seek to resolve them, including liaison with colleagues at THX. Accurately record information and outcomes gathered from customer and colleague contact. Encourage payment of overdue invoices and identify when payments will be made. Follow up to ensure payment have been made as agreed and make further contact if necessary. Assist in negotiating payment plans and starting legal proceedings, if required. Updating customers records with credit reports and credit limits on a regular basis. Post and allocate customers receipts on the system. Manage the legal cases by liaising with insurers and solicitors. Build constructive relationships with THX customers. Raise relevant issues to the Financial Controller. Requirements: Previous experience in a credit control role. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage 50). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive and flexible approach to work.
