Priory Hospital Altrincham is looking to recruit a ATP Therapy Lead to join the team in our inpatient ward for adults with mental health challenges and addictions. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours.
Priory Hospital Altrincham provides expert treatment for a range of mental health conditions and addictions. The hospital is comprised of three inpatient units, providing specialist care for adults with range of mental health challenges and addictions. Altrincham also provides established, evidence-based outpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
* Be able to demonstrate a calm and clear leadership style.
* The ability to communicate to a wide range of key stakeholders and adjust language or messaging as needed
* Be able to take responsibility and deliver the role responsibilities as detailed above.
* Engage in an understanding of the hospital’s ADC targets for ATP and contribute accordingly with relevant activities
* Work with the Therapy Manager to ensure staffing is in place within budgets

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate is an experienced psychotherapist accredited with a Priory-recognised body such as BACP, NCPS, BABCP, or UKCP. They will hold a qualification specific to addiction treatment and have the capability to support more junior clinicians in developing their skills within this specialist area. Ideally, they will have experience leading and supporting a therapy team in an inpatient setting and can effectively manage a caseload of patients alongside their leadership responsibilities. They should demonstrate a strong understanding of the appropriateness of different therapeutic modalities, aligning their practice with NICE guidelines and clinical efficacy. Experience in providing supervision is preferred, or a willingness to undertake additional training in this area. Additionally, the candidate will possess clear leadership skills that foster effective teamwork and support confident decision-making.
