Specialist Physiotherapist, Paediatric (Experienced Rotational)
Job summary: An exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Physiotherapy team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, as a band 6. This will be a full time permanent post. Responsibilities
* Assess and treat children from 0-19 with presentations including MSK, Neuro and respiratory issues.
* Manage a caseload independently and deliver services within a special school.
* Work closely with other health professionals and the wider MDT, including education and social services to deliver high quality holistic, person-centred care.
* Support quality improvement projects, clinical audit and research.
* Be involved in supporting junior therapists and student education.
Main duties
* Participate in Band 6 rotations providing a high standard of clinical physiotherapy management (assessment and treatment) with evidence-based practice for patients referred to Paediatric Physiotherapy Service in rotation areas: Wards; Out-patients within specialist Children\'s Centres; Homes; Special Schools; Mainstream Schools; Ty Llidiard Inpatient Unit.
Principal Duties
* Take delegated responsibility for managing patients with particular conditions, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment plans within each rotation.
* Manage own daily caseload, supervise physiotherapy assistants and guide/mentor junior physiotherapists and students.
* Provide regular specialist physiotherapy input to designated paediatric clinics, including advice/equipment, home treatment programmes and arranging outpatient physiotherapy where appropriate.
* Be an active member of the out-of-hours emergency respiratory on-call rota and participate in other weekend rotas as required.
* Assist in covering the work of absent colleagues as required by the Line Manager.

Person Specification
* Essential Qualifications and Experience:
o Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
o HCPC Registration
o Experience as junior (Band 5) on rotation (including respiratory, critical care, orthopaedics, neurology, general medicine, paediatrics)
o Experience of NHS systems and procedures
o Experience of MDT working
* Essential Experience:
o Evidence of broad spectrum clinical knowledge/skills base
* Essential Personal Attributes:
o Ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team
o Ability to work with all levels of personnel
o Self-motivated and capable of motivating others
* Welsh Language Skills (Desirable): Welsh speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
