We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of the digital transformation within the MoD and a deep knowledge of the defence supply chain’s through-life management of equipment to support our digital transformation journey.
The ideal candidate will be based in the South of England (from the Midlands southwards) to minimize travel. The role is home-based with regular UK travel and monthly overnight stays.
Job Purpose:
The Business Manager will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors and Department Heads to provide business support across the Commercial team, ensuring processes are compliant with ISO quality and information security standards. A key focus will be leveraging knowledge of the customer environment to align the business with the evolving digital transformation of the MOD and defence supply chain’s through-life management of equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Develop relationships with MOD equipment support and defence digital stakeholders
* Attend conferences and seminars on equipment support and digital transformation
* Build and maintain relationships with marketing partners
* Plan and participate in on-site marketing events
* Oversee the company’s Quality and Information Security Management Systems and certifications
* Manage quality-specific processes within the Quality Management System
* Ensure smooth operation of the Company Head Office
* Own and maintain the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures
* Manage office administration policies
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Understanding of digital transformation in defence equipment support
Experience in corporate marketing and event management
General business administration experience
Strong influencing skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Willingness to travel as required
