NHS Fife is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our forward-thinking, high-performing organisation as the Director of Pharmacy and Medicines. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of health and care services in Fife, working collaboratively across our system and with external partners.

As the Director of Pharmacy and Medicines, you will lead, direct, and manage the Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate to drive the highest standards for pharmacy services locally, regionally, and nationally. Your key responsibilities will include:


Key Responsibilities

* Leading an extensive programme of service change to ensure effective and efficient delivery of all pharmaceutical care and prescribing support services.
* Providing leadership to ensure safe, effective, and cost-effective use of medicines in NHS Fife.
* Driving transformation and improvement initiatives within the Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate.
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory and governance frameworks.
* Acting as the Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer for the safe management and use of controlled drugs.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
