We’re recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join an engineering manufacturer in Norfolk. You’ll be part of a skilled team assembling mechanical and electrical sub-systems for precision-built products used in production and R&D. The role involves working from detailed build instructions, using hand and power tools, and ensuring components are built accurately and safely.
This is a hands-on position that would suit someone mechanically minded, practical, and confident working with tools and technical drawings.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assemble mechanical and electrical components and sub-systems to specification
Read and follow build manuals and engineering drawings
Use a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. drills, grinders, torque wrenches, digital measuring tools)
Carry out accurate measurements and quality checks
Operate tooling and workshop machinery safely
Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe work area
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and use PPE correctly What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, fitting, or maintenance
Confident using a range of hand and power tools
Good attention to detail and ability to work to specification
Reliable, team-focused, and able to work independently when needed
Physically fit (manual handling involved)
