including our joint venter, The Leret Partnership in Leatherhead.
The
Property
,
Regeneration
and
Climate Action Team
is a friendly, multi-disciplinary team. It has skills and expertise across asset management, building surveying, workplace management, statutory compliance and maintenance together with significant expertise in building project and contract management together with development and regeneration.
About the role
This is a
great opportunity
to
lead the Asset Management
and
Investment Properties
Teams. This is a
brand-new role
, and you will be the
"go-to"
person for all things
asset management
but with the benefit of the support and that comes from joining a well-established and highly regarded property team. You are
guaranteed variet
y, ranging from reviewing and negotiating leases, assessment of asset performance and making recommendations for investment or disposal etc, being on the Leret Partnership Operations Board and managing out investment portfolio. Your days will be varied and interesting whilst building your knowledge and experience.
You will
manage
the
Asset Management
function
of the Council's property team and be the primary advisor in respect of all asset management and investment matters for Mole Valley District Council. You will
deliver
a
comprehensive package
of
property services
and
advice
to the council in respect of its mixed portfolio, undertaking budget management and having responsibility for the Council's rental income, the provision of strategic professional advice and performance of the Asset Management team, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement is developed.
About You
You will:
* Be a
Member of RICS
or have other equivalent professional recognition with demonstrable experience of proactively undertaking the asset management of a property portfolio.
* Have a
broad range
of
knowledge
of
property law
and
asset management
together with experience of working on and
delivering
property/asset management strategy
in relation to optimising the use of the property assets.
Alongside the technical skills that are essential to your role, we value
strong communication
and
relationship building
skills, the ability to
remain calm
and
focused
in potentially high pressure situations and as the Head of Asset Management and Investment Properties you will be required to
advise your colleagues
and recommended a course of action, whilst articulating the opportunities as well as the risks, to enable a well informed decision to be reached.
